DENTON, Texas - In their second match of the season, the New Mexico State women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to North Texas Sunday afternoon at the Waranch Tennis Complex.
None of the three doubles matches went the Aggies' way which allowed the Mean Green to open up a 1-0 lead headed to singles action.
Once one-on-one play got going, the Mean Green increased their lead when Gavi Kalaga found herself on the wrong end of a 6-0, 6-3 decision to Kexuan Zhou in the fourth flight. From there, North Texas moved one point away from victory when Harsha Challa was defeated on the top line by Alexandra Heczey by a 6-0, 6-4 score.
