LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced its All-America Scholar-Athlete honors on Tuesday. New Mexico State softball players Victoria Castro, Fahren Glackin and Caity Szczesny received the recognition for their accomplishments in the classroom during the 2016-17 academic year.
Castro, Glackin and Szczesny also earned Academic All-WAC accolades from the Western Athletic Conference earlier this year. On top of their academic accomplishments, Castro and Glackin tallied Second Team All-WAC honors at the end of the 2017 regular season and Castro was also named to the WAC All-Tournament Team when she helped the Aggies to their third WAC Tournament title.
