ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – On Saturday afternoon, NM State fell 38-20 in one of the most anticipated matchups between the two programs in recent memory. The Aggies used a score on a trick play and a defensive touchdown to carry a 17-14 lead into the locker room at halftime; however, the hometown Lobos would outscore the Aggies 24-3 in the second half to earn the victory.
Following a pair of empty possessions for both offenses, NM State drew first blood as they scored on a drive that began inside Lobo territory (UNM 49-yard line).
