Second-Half Surge Pushes Aggies to 70-56 Win at Utah Valley

OREM, Utah - Utah Valley's Emmanuel Olojakpoke had just answered a fast-break dunk by New Mexico State's Trevelin Queen with a two-handed jam of his own that whittled the Aggies' lead down to two, 40-38, by connecting on a runner in the lane with 15:25 to go.

Two-hundred-and-fifteen seconds later, Johnny McCants emphatically ended a 15-1 Aggie run by tossing down a monstrous one-handed slam that hiked the visitors' lead to 54-39.

As they say, life comes at you fast.

Showing off the spurtability of their offense, the Aggies' 15-1 scoring spree represented just a part of their larger 28-11 surge over a span of 9:36 that allowed the WAC's lone squad without a league loss to claim a 70-56 win over the Wolverines Thursday night inside the UCCU Center.
