LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Freshman has qualified to compete in the Javelin in the NCAA Track and Field Championships West Preliminary Round in Lawrence, Kansas on Thursday, May 26.
"We are extremely proud of Kim and her performance this season," said assistant coach . "To come in as a freshman and step up, winning the conference championship in the Javelin, is really impressive."
Salinas, a native of Las Cruces, N.M., currently ranks 81st in the nation with a mark of 46.13m (151 ft. 4 in.). She set this mark last week in the Western Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships, where we she won the conference championship.
