LAS CRUCES – New Mexico State women's basketball guard Brooke Salas took home both the Western Athletic Conference and College Sports Madness Player of the Week honors on Monday.
This is the first WAC Player of the Week honor for Salas and the second CSM weekly award in her young career. This marks the third player of the week honor for NM State this season from the conference and third from College Sports Madness as well.
The 5-10 freshman set a new season-high on Saturday, scoring 22 points on 8-of-14 shooting to go with eight rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block.
