SEATTLE – Former New Mexico State women's basketball star Brooke Salas signed a training camp contract with the defending Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) champion Seattle Storm, the team announced Thursday. Salas is just the third Aggie to sign a contract with a WNBA team, joining Moriah Mack in 2017 and Anita Maxwell in 1997 when she was the 29th pick in the WNBA draft.
"I'd like to thank the Seattle Storm organization for giving me an opportunity to continue my playing career," said Salas. "I look forward to competing for a spot on the team.
