Salas Named WAC Player of the Week for the Second Time This Season

DENVER – NM State sophomore guard Brooke Salas was named Western Athletic Conference Player of the Week on Monday after leading the Aggies to two victories, while averaging 15 points and seven assists per game, to go along with three steals and one block, over 49 minutes of play.

The Placentia, Calif. native led the Aggies to a pair of wins to open conference play this past week. In the WAC-opener against UMKC, she scored 17 points and brought down seven rebounds to go with three assists and a pair of steals as the team defeated UMKC, 78-72, the fifth straight win over the Roos.
