LAS CRUCES – New Mexico State guard Brooke Salas was named College Sports Madness Player of the Week on Monday after leading the women's basketball team to a pair of wins last week, averaging 16 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5 assists to go with a .560 clip from the floor and .400 clip from 3-point range.
This is the first player of the week honor for Salas and the second awarded to an NM State player this season from College Sports Madness.
Salas tore it up from the floor for the Aggies in their opening game against Seattle U.
