DENVER – The Western Athletic Conference announced its golfers of the week on Wednesday. After a record-breaking tournament finish, NM State's Pun Chanchai was named the WAC Women's Golfer of the Week for the third time this spring.
An incredible week saw Chanachai set a new program record with her sixth individual win after earning medalist honors at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic, to pass former Aggie and current LPGA golfer Alena Sharp. The Bangkok, Thailand natives success at the event in Maricopa, Ariz. continued for the second-straight year after the golfer also set a course record for the lowest round by an individual shooting a 65 (-7) during the second round of the tournament back in 2018.
