LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State's women's tennis team will finally get to suit up and open its season this weekend when it plays host to the 2016 edition of the Aggie Invitational, Friday-Sunday.
The seven-team tournament features Grand Canyon, New Mexico, Tarleton State, UTEP, UT Permian Basin and Western New Mexico. All three days are schedule to begin at 9 a.m. (MT) with doubles and followed by singles action. Teams will battle it out across three singles flights, a round-robin singles flight and three doubles flights.
NM State wrapped up the 2015-16 season 11-10 overall and 5-0 in conference play, winning its first regular-season championship since joining the Western Athletic Conference.
