MARICOPA, Ariz. – The New Mexico State women's golf team finished the first day of the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic in third place following the first two rounds of action at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club on Monday.
"We had a pretty day overall," said head coach Danny Bowen. "WE started out great in round one but let a few shots slip away. The second round was a bit tougher in the wind but we also had a few too many unforced errors that cost us. I'm still proud of how the girls fought out there since it was a long, hot day.
