LAS CRUCES, N.M. – New Mexico State women's basketball head coach Brooke Atkinson announced the addition of National Junior College Athletic Association First-Team All-American Esther "Nike" Adenike.
"We are very excited to add Nike to our team and to our post group," said Atkinson. "Nike will add another dimension to our group and more depth at the post position. She has proven herself to be a winner and a champion and we are very excited to have her in crimson and white."
The Lagos, Nigeria, native played junior college ball at South Georgia Tech where she led the Lady Jets to their third consecutive Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association title, second consecutive NJCAA Region XVII tournament championship, second NJCAA Division J Championship and fourth appearance in the national tournament in the last five years following the 2017-18 campaign.
