LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State cross country teams gets set for the Lobo Invitational at the UNM North Golf Course on Saturday, Sept. 1. The 5,000m race is set to begin at 9:50 a.m. MT.
The Aggies look to continue their momentum from a successful 2017 season. During the Western Athletic Conference Championships last season, the men's team posted its best finish since 2014 by taking home third. The women's team won the championship on a tiebreaker over Utah Valley, the program's first conference title since 2009.
Notable returners for the men's team include Aaron Valenzuela, who placed fifth at the league meet, earning him All-WAC First Team honors.
