GREELEY, Colo. – In its first Western Athletic Conference meet of the season, NM State swimming and diving dropped a 187.60-112.50 decision at Northern Colorado on Saturday afternoon.

"We knew we would have some tough early season tests this weekend and despite the losses, there was a lot we learned about our teamed," said head coach Rick Pratt. "Our divers keep getting better; MacKinna Hauff was very good today. Moving forward, we have to get healthy and keep working hard. It's a long season and we've got much to work on to be successful in the spring"

In the first race of the day, the 400 Medley relay, NM State's team of Lanie McAlpin, Hanna McGowan, Reagan Nentwich and Lauren Hemburrow finished second with a time of 3:59.
