DENVER – The New Mexico State men's tennis team swept the Western Athletic Conference Player of the Month honors on Wednesday the league announced. Senior Christofer Goncalves, the reigning WAC Player of the Year, took home the singles honor while he and doubles partner Luis Flores took home the doubles award.
Goncalves started off his season being named co-champion at the Aggie Invitational at home with teammate Stijn de Haan. The Barquisimeto, Venezuela, product then went on to compete in the ITA Masters event in Malibu, Calif., where he picked up a pair of wins in the consolation bracket before.
