LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State men's golf team finished up the first day of action at the Pepsi-Cola Classic at the Pepsi Cola Classic on Saturday at the Redhawk Golf Club. After 36 holes, NM State sat in fourth place out of eight with a team score of 583 (+7).
Individual play for the Aggies was led by Mike McGilton who wrapped up the first day of play with a scorecard of 67-72—139 (-5) that put the golfer in second place. McGilton currently leads NM State and is second among the entire tournament field with 10 birdies.
