@NMStateBaseball Alum Daniel Johnson Thanks Aggie Fans

The New Mexico State baseball team enjoyed a historical season in 2016, posting the best year-to-year win improvement in the in country, while having three players selected in the MLB Draft. The first of three drafted was junior outfielder, Daniel Johnson. Johnson was drafted fifth round by the Washington Nationals after his All-American junior season. In addition to the All-American honor, Johnson named the WAC Player of the Year after batting .382 with seven triples, 12 home runs and 52 runs batted in. He also stole 29 bases. Johnson finished the campaign fourth in the nation in hits, fifth in runs scored and 16th in stolen bases.
