LOUISVILLE, Ky. – NM State softball's Kelsey Horton has been selected for the 2016 Schutt Sport/NFCA Division National Freshman of the Year Top 25 list, announced the association Thursday. Horton has started all 48 games at first base for the Aggies this season.
"Making it to the final 25 for Freshman of the Year is a big honor," said head coach Kathy Rodolph. "No one has worked harder to earn this spot than Kelsey. She has handled hitting third in our lineup like a veteran player. We are very proud of her accomplishments so far and are very proud to call her an Aggie.
