LAS CRUCES, N.M. – NM State track and field head coach Orin Richburg announced the signing of seven student-athletes for the 2016-17 season on Thursday. The signing class includes four student-athletes from the Las Cruces and El Paso area.
"We were really pleased to get some local kids that athletically and academically will help our program," said Richburg. "We tried to concentrate on our areas of need which are the middle distance and distance events. Coach Rath has done a great job recruiting to fill those needs. Since we are graduating two seniors in these events, I think we have done a good job replacing them with the signees we have.
