CATHEDRAL CITY, Calif. – The NM State softball team is set to face BYU on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. (MT) in its opening game of the Mary Nutter Classic at the Big League Dreams Sports Park. In addition to BYU, the Aggies will face Boise State, Northwestern, Oregon State, Cal State Fullerton and Utah during the four-day tournament.
NM State is 9-2 on the season with their only two losses coming to No. 14/10 Oklahoma. The Aggies currently rank second in the nation in batting average with a .426 overall and racked up a 4-2 record last weekend in the Troy Cox Classic.
