NM State Track and Field Takes Third at WAC Championships

NAMPA, IDAHO - The New Mexico State track and field team placed third overall as the Aggies scored 112 points at the WAC Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday.

"We were pleased overall with the teams performances," interim-head coach Larry Carmichael said. "We exceeded people's expectations and had many outstanding performances."

The Aggies had many first place finishes at the meet. One of which included Crissey Amberg, who won the mile as she clocked in at 4:54.79 to win the gold medal. She was the only racer to finish the event in under five minutes.
