KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Brennalyn Nakamura went 3-for-4 and drove in Victoria Castro for the winning run as the NM State softball team topped Missouri-Kansas City 5-4 on Friday in game one of the series. Game two has been postponed to Saturday at 12:00 p.m. MT.
The Aggies (33-19, 12-1 WAC) scored five runs and amassed four RBIs on 11 hits. Kelsey Horton went 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI. Karysta Donisthorpe pitched a 7.0 innings and collected 10 strikeouts in 27 batters faced.
UMKC (21-20, 10-3 WAC) scored four runs and had four RBIs on three hits.
