LAS VEGAS – Kelsey Horton hit a go-ahead home run to lift the Aggies to victory as the NM State softball team topped Drake 3-1 on Friday afternoon in their second game of the UNLV Classic at Eller Media Stadium.
With the score knotted at 1-1 in the fifth inning, Horton hit a solo home run over left center to give the Aggies (15-6) the lead. Horton leads the team with eight home runs this season.
The Aggies scored three runs and amassed two RBIs on nine hits. Rachel Rodriguez and ]Horton both had two hits.
