CATHEDRAL CITY, Calif. – Fiana Finau drove in Rachel Rodriguez with a walk-off single to give the NM State softball team a 2-1, eight inning victory over BYU on Thursday at the Big League Dreams Softball Park. This was the first win over BYU in more than 40 years for the Aggies.
NM State (10-2) garnered two runs and two RBIs on four hits. Karysta Donisthorpe amassed nine strikeouts in an eight inning complete game. The senior allowed just three hits and one run in 30 batters faced. Donisthorpe now holds a 5-1 record.
