EL PASO, Texas. – New Mexico State cross country competed in the Lori Fitzgerald Open at the Chamizal Memorial National Park on Friday. The women's team competed on a 4.6k course while the men's squad took on a 6.3k course. Both the NM State women's and men's teams placed third at the meet.
"Our women did a particularly good job with their pacing," assistant coach Joseph Rath said. "Corinne [Hanson], Karoline [Klumb], and Meghan [Aguilera] managed to be patient early and were rewarded by passing the majority of the field and finishing well within the top 10.
