TEMPE, Ariz. — NM State (1-5-0) fought hard but fell 1-0 to unbeaten Arizona State on Sunday night at Sun Devil Soccer Stadium. The Aggies put four shots on frame and kept the match within reach, but a first-half strike proved to be the difference.
The Sun Devils (4-0-1) broke through in the 23rd minute when Peyton Marcisz converted off a feed from Cameron Valladares. The Crimson and White pushed for an equalizer throughout the second half, with and each forcing saves, while added another shot on goal in the 16th minute.
