LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The NM State women's golf team closed out the Golf Iconic Classic on Wednesday with a final-round score of 292 (+4), securing a tie for eighth place in the team standings at 870 (+6) overall on a windy day at the New Mexico State University Golf Course.
Senior Alexandria Armendariz led the Aggies on the final day, carding a 73 (+1) to finish the tournament at even-par 216 and tied for 15th individually. Sophia Luna delivered her best round of the week and the team's best round of the day with an even-par 72, climbing 28 spots into a tie for 46th at 222 (+6).
