LAS CRUCES, N.M. – After falling 8-0 to No. 14 Oklahoma, the NM State softball team found its stride offensively and defeated Campbell 10-1 on Saturday evening at the NM State Softball Complex on day two of the Troy Cox Classic.
Game One
NM State racked up four hits against the Sooners. Makayla McAdams, after allowing three runs in the second inning, prevented Oklahoma from scoring for three-straight innings. She threw two strikeouts and faced 28 batters. Oklahoma's Paige Parker pitched 6.0 innings and allowed four hits and one walk.
The Aggies held the Sooners scoreless in the first inning for the second game in a row as the visiting team was retired in order.
