LAS VEGAS - The New Mexico State softball team continued its run at the Rebel Classic with a contest against No. 1 Washington on Friday afternoon. The Aggies fell to the top-ranked Huskies 9-1 in six innings.

After a scoreless first inning, NM State (11-10) came out hot when Victoria Castro hit a double to right center field, extending her 15-game hitting streak. Following the play, Stefani Duran was hit by a pitch and Fahren Glackin drew a walk to load the bases. A wild pitch by the Washington's ace Taran Alvelo brought Castro home to score for the first run of the game.
