HOMEWOOD, Ill. – The New Mexico State men's tennis team dropped a heartbreaker Friday afternoon to UMKC, 4-3, at the H-F Racquet and Fitness Club.
The Aggie opponents took an early jump in doubles action when Christofer Goncalves and Luis Flores were bested 6-1. Enrique Asmar and Louis Menard tied things up shortly thereafter with a tight 7-5 victory against their counterparts on court No. 3 before UMKC captured the doubles point with a 7-5 win on court No. 2.
Benitez made quick work in singles action against Hunter Clark, 6-2, 6-2 – which tied the match up at 1-1.
