LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State men's tennis team wrapped up its first week of action for the fall on Sunday at home playing host to the Aggie Invitational.
The doubles tandem of and went back-and-forth with Arizona's pair of Stewart Block and Hiroki Sakagawa but ultimately fell in the 6-4 in the finals. Meanwhile in the third-place match, and bested NMMI's team 6-3. In addition, and captured the consolation title with a 6-4 victory over Abilene Christian's Savan Chhabra and Cole Stokes.
With two Aggies scheduled to face off in the championship match of the Crimson flight, head coach opted save his players for next weekend's tournament in Tucson.
