FT. COLLINS, Colo. – An extended scoring drought in the second half saw the NM State men's basketball team drop a 64-61 decision to Colorado State Sunday afternoon at Moby Arena.
Ian Baker led the Aggies (1-1) with 16 points while Eli Chuha tallied 12 points on 6-of-8 shooting. Jemerrio Jones had a solid night once again for NM State, scoring nine points on nine boards with two blocks and two steals.
The Aggies opened the game shooting well, knocking down 4-of-6 shots at the 15:31 media timeout. A 10-2 run following that capped off by a great entry pass into the low block by Jones to Chuha forced Colorado State to call a timeout with 12:27 on the clock.
