LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Quarterback Jonah Johnson is picking up high praise headed into his first season as an Aggie.
The Madera, Calif., native was included in Athlon Sports' list of the top-11 junior-college passers making the jump to the FBS level in 2020.
"Johnson - a native of California – arrives at New Mexico State after playing at Fresno City College for two years," Athlon Sports writes. "During his sophomore campaign, Johnson threw for 1,818 yards and 10 touchdowns and added 254 yards and six scores on the ground. Over 21 games at the JUCO level, Johnson accounted for 28 passing scores and completed 57.
