LAS CRUCES, N.M. – NM State baseball's Daniel Johnson and NM State women's tennis student-athlete Ashvarya Shrivastav have been named the Aggie Male of the Week and Aggie Female of the Week, respectively, announced Wednesday. The Aggie of the Week is presented by Subway.
Johnson was named Louisville Slugger National Player of the Week and WAC Hitter of the week. A native of Vallejo, Calif., Johnson went 12-for-20 on the week with two doubles, four home runs, eight runs scored and 14 RBIs.
In the series against Sacramento State, he went 10-for-15 at the plate with two two-run home runs and two three-run home runs.
