Former NM State women’s basketball associate head coach Tamara Inoue has been named UC Irvine’s new women’s basketball head coach.
IRVINE, Calif. – Former New Mexico State women's basketball associate head coach, Tamara Inoue, has taken the head coaching position at UC Irvine as announced by the school on Wednesday.
Inoue has been at NM State the past five seasons with head coach Mark Trakh, including two as the associate head coach, rebuilding the program and lifting it to new heights.
"Tamara has been a great coach, a great mentor and to me a great friend," Trakh said.
