LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The NM State baseball team enjoyed a historical season in 2016, posting a final record of 34-23 and 20-7 in Western Athletic Conference play. The Aggies also finished with the best year-to-year win improvement in the country, winning a whopping 23 more games in 2016 than 2015.
The nationally ranked recruiting class led primarily by junior college transfers did not disappoint as the Aggies saw a near three-run improvement in team earned run average and boasted an offense that ranked near the top of the WAC in numerous categories.
NM State completed 2016 with an ERA of 4.
