Historic Performance Helps Earn Salas WAC Player of the Week Honors

DENVERBrooke Salas was named Western Athletic Conference Player of the Week after averaging 22.0 points and 15.3 rebounds per game, including a 32 point, 22 rebound and 11 block triple-double, over three games last week, the league announced Monday.

This is her second weekly honor of the season and seventh of her career. Salas also earned three WAC Player of the Week honors during the 2016-17 season and two during the 2017-18 season.

Salas, a senior from Placentia Calif., scored 16 points and grabbed 9 rebounds at Texas A&M – Corpus Christi before starting the FIU Holiday Tournament with an 18-point, 15-rebound double-double in a 68-67 loss to South Alabama on Thursday, Dec.
