Hanson and Oroyinyin Lead Aggies to Fifth-Place Finish at Aztec Invitational

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The NM State track and field team wrapped up the Aztec Invitational Saturday in San Diego, Calif. The Aggies finished finished fifth with 85 points which was ahead of Pac 12 members California, Arizona and UCLA.

Corinne Hanson got the Aggies going off the right foot as she posted a career-best time of 10:38.62 to take the 3000m steeplechase title. This was Hanson's first individual title since Mar. 17, 2018 when she took first in 3000m steeplechase at the Willie Williams Classic.

Yemisi Oroyinyin joined Hanson as she took home the shot put title by throwing a career-best 15.
