LAS CRUCES, N.M. – NM State baseball freshman Nick Gonzales continued to add to his list of postseason honors, following a standout rookie season, with his fourth freshman All-American nod. The second baseman was named a D1 Baseball Second-Team Freshman All-American.
Gonzales was a pivotal piece for the Aggies all season long playing in 57 of the team's games and starting in 53. The second baseman led the team in batting average at .347 that included 17 doubles, two triples and nine home runs. The freshman posted a conference-leading .596 slugging percentage and had 40 runs scored with 36 runs batted in.
