DENVER – Christofer Goncalves and Mauri Benitez of the NM State men's tennis team along with Enrique Asmar and Sergi Espias of the Aggie no. 3 doubles team were named to the Western Athletic Conference All-Tournament team on Tuesday.
The all-tournament is voted on by the league coaches after the conclusion of the championships this past weekend in Las Cruces, N.M.
Goncalves went 1-0 at the conference tournament, taking down UMKC's Airam Castellano 6-3, 6-2 at the top singles position. He was ahead of Chicago State's Jiri Nouza 7-5 before it was abandoned when NM State clinched the match 4-0.
