EL PASO - Sophomore Chloe Gavino picked up her first singles victory of the season, but it proved to be the only point the NM State women's tennis team would earn on the afternoon as the Aggies dropped a 6-1 decision to Pac-12 foe Arizona Friday afternoon at the El Paso Tennis & Swim Club.
DOUBLES
• With NM State taking the court for the first time in the 2021 season, the Aggies quickly found themselves in a hole after Arizona captured the doubles point.
• The Wildcats ceded just five games to the Aggies on lines two and three, but Gavi Kalaga and Harsha Challa held their own against Kayla Wilkins and Gitte Heynemans on the top line.
