DENVER – New Mexico State women's tennis sophomore Chloe Gavino was named the Western Athletic Conference singles player of the month on Tuesday the league announced.
The Tucson, Ariz., product went 6-1 in the month of September for the Aggies, dropping her lone match in the quarterfinals of the Aggie Invitational to teammate Gavi Kalaga. She then went 3-0 this past week at the Jon Messick Invitational, capturing a pair of wins over Colorado State players and one from Colorado.
NM State will get a whole month off to recover and continue training before heading to DeLand, Fla.
