SAN ANTONIO – NM State men's golf sophomore Cameron Gambini claimed his first top-25 finish of the season Tuesday at the Lone Star Invitational on the AT&T Oaks Course at TPC San Antonio.
The Las Vegas native shot a one-under-par 71 in the final round of the tournament to skyrocket up the leaderboard, tying for 22nd with an overall score of eight-over-par 224. After shooting a five-over-par 77 and four-over-par 76 in the first and second rounds, respectively, Gambini delivered the Aggies' best individual round of the weekend Tuesday.
Seniors Tanvir Kahlon and Niall Powell both tied for 34th place at 12-over-par 228.
