DENVER – New Mexico State women's golf sophomore was named the Western Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week on Wednesday.
This is the first golfer of the week accolade for the Rio Rancho, N.M., native after taking home WAC Golfer of the Month this past October. It is also NM State's second-straight weekly honor.
After a shooting a 1-over 73 card in the first round of the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic, Galloway carved her way through the course and recorded rounds of 70 and 71 for a 2-under 214 card this past Tuesday. The 2-under 214 total was good enough to tie her for second amongst a field of 111 while also leading the Aggies to a second-place team finish – the team's best finish this spring.
