DENVER. - New Mexico State's Kayli Farmer was named this week's Western Athletic Conference Outdoor Women's Field Athlete of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday. This is the second-straight week she has won the award and her fourth weekly honor this season.
Farmer won the javelin throw at the Steve Scott Invitational with a league-leading mark of 47.94 m (157-3). Her new personal record ranks second all-time at NM State and is 22nd on the NCAA West qualifying list.
The Aggies are back in action on May 10, when the team travels to Edinburg, Texas, for the WAC Outdoor Track and Field Championship.
