LAS CRUCES, N.M. – NM State baseball's Tyler Erwin and NM State women's basketball's Sasha Weber have been named Aggie Male of the Week and Aggie Female of the Week, respectively, announced Friday. The Aggie of the Week is presented by Subway.
Erwin, a native of Chandler, Ariz., pitched 7.2 innings of scoreless baseball during the week. Against Rio Grande rival New Mexico on Tuesday, Erwin struck out three Lobos over two innings and earned the win, his second of the season.
In Friday's 9-5 win over Baylor, Erwin went 1.1 innings and allowed just one hit with five strikeouts.
