DENVER – After throwing six shutout innings and leading the Aggies to a 3-2 win over Rio Grande rival New Mexico, NM State softball's Karysta Donisthorpe has been name the Western Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week, announced the league office Monday. This is Donisthorpe's second honor of the season and seventh of her career.
The Farmington, N.M. native went 1-0 during the week and had a 0.88 ERA. After allowing a run in the bottom of the second inning, she threw five straight shutout innings to help the Aggies force overtime against New Mexico.
Donisthorpe allowed just one earned run and struck out six batters during the eight-inning game.
