LUBBOCK, Texas - There were no season-opening jitters for the Aggies.
Junior Jess Dominguez earned a second-place finish in the 3000m with a time of 10:11.89, and senior Bristol O'Connor's new personal-best shot put of 13.40m (43-11.75) carried her to a top-five finish, as NM State track & field wrapped up its season-opening weekend at the Corky Classic in impressive fashion.
Dominguez finished .67 seconds shy of a first-place finish and only six seconds off of her personal best, starting her indoor season with a strong performance in the 3000m.
O'Connor, meanwhile, crushed her previous personal best of 13.
