Delgadillo’s Second-Round Charge Highlights Opening Day of N.I.T.

TUCSON, Ariz. – NM State returned to action after nearly 100 days away from competition as they began play on Monday morning at the N.I.T. hosted by Arizona at Omni Tucson National. With the first round in the books and the majority of the second round accounted for, the Aggies find themselves slotted in 15th place as a team while shooting seven under par before play was called due to darkness.

Individually, the Aggies were led by Javier Delgadillo who turned his day around in the afternoon as he recorded four birdies and an eagle through the first 15 holes of the second round to end the day tied for 21st and just two strokes outside of the top ten with a combined score of 126 (-5).
